Barry Harris & His Story
My musical journey began outside of Philadelphia in Delaware County, better known as “Delco”. It all started when I performed “Fur Elise” by Beethoven on the piano at the MacDade Mall when I was 6.
Local theater got me my first start in singing, but I shifted my involvement in the theater to playing piano, accompanying other singers, and even writing. I wrote the music for a musical adaptation of Alice In Wonderland when I was 11, and it was debuted by the Springfield Performing Arts Youth Theater.
When I was 10, I began performing as a singer/piano player. I then started producing my own demos, which evolved into backing tracks for my one-man show by 13. In Delco, the Yachtstock Rising Stars competition gave me the best platform to do what I loved to do as a performer.

In my musical life, I have been most proud of the work I have done with my band.
Our story begins when I attended GRAMMY Camp in high school. I met my first musical friends there, and then I met even more friends when I majored in Popular Music Performance at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music.
We all started the band because my friends wanted to help me get my music out there. They gifted me with their musical talents just so that I could play shows and record my original material.
We recorded an EP called “Just a Mile Away” in 2011, and released the single/music video “Off the Air” in 2014. We have played around LA at venues such as The Troubadour, Hotel Cafe, and the Clive Davis Theater at the GRAMMY Museum.
For many years when I lived in LA, we were known as “Barry Harris & the Euphoria”. Since I moved back to Delco, PA, the band has evolved to become “Barry Harris & His LA Band”. I am currently working on new original material for the band.
